Collage Wax Paper Envelope
Collage Wax Paper Envelope

Materials:
Collage Wax Paper Envelope
Washi Tapes
Sewing Machine
Thread
Card Stock for Template (optional)
Tape for Sewing Guide (optional)

Instructions:
- Cut a piece of scrap paper to size for a template, handy when you make more than 1 envelope. (tip: I folded a page from a mail catalog.)
- Put a piece of tape to indicate where you want the seam to be. If you want your seam to be in the center, then place this folding guide just a bit off-center.
- Lay down washi tape to close the seam. Note to leave about 1/4" on closed end and fold end over to opposite side. Leave 1/2" - 3/4" on open end and fold to inside of the envelope.
- Sew a stitch of your choice on the closed end. To help ensure a straight line and consistent margin, lay down several layers of washi or other tape next to the edge of the envelope.

Materials:
Lace Wax Wrapping Paper
Thread
Sewing Machine
Straight edge
Craft Blade

Instructions:
- Determine the finished size and cut your paper accordingly.
- It is easier to make this out of one-piece, so fold the paper so that the folded edge becomes the edge opposite the opening.
- Choose a thread color that coordinates with the paper color.
- Sew along the sides with the stitch of your choice, but choose a wider stitch size (holes are further apart).
- If your sewing machine can take a top stitching thread which is thicker, the impact of the thread color will be stronger.
