| Furoshiki is a square Japanese wrapping cloth. They can range in materials from silks to cottons.
Since they are fabric, they can be used over and over and can be used for other purposes. Definitely environmentally-friendly!
Here are just a few ideas of how to wrap gifts with them.
In this example, I use our Cross Hatch Furoshiki to wrap my Holiday Gift Set.
|

| Style 1 | Step 1 With your furoshiki print facing down, place the box off-center. Exact distance from the center depends on the size of your object. Play around with the placement a bit so that your wrapping ends up like that shown in Step 3.

Style 1 | Step 2 Fold longer side over box as shown. |

| Style 1 | Step 3
Fold opposite side over box as shown.
|

| Style 1 | Step 4
Gather remaining ends and tie a knot at center.
|

| Style 2 | Step 1
Fold 2 opposite corners to the center. You may need to fold a little less or more depending on the size of your object.
Place box in center.
|

| Style 2 | Step 2
Bring both folded ends over box.
(Tip: It is best if your folded edge does not past the edge of the box.)
|

| Style 2 | Step 3
Gather remaining ends and tie a knot at center as in Style 1.
The leftover ends are tucked underneath the knot in this example.
|

| Style 3 | Step 3
Follow Steps 1-2 from above.
Cross the remaining ends this time as shown. |

| Style 3 | Step 4
Take some cotton cord and wrap around as shown.
For a cleaner look, tuck the ends in at the sides.
